We will begin our journey in the charming town of Newton Abbot just a short 25-minute train ride from Exeter St Davids Station.

Here, we will gather for our welcome supper the day before setting out into the magic of Devon.

There are several budget-friendly hotels (Premier Inn Newton Abbot is a 3-minute taxi from the station), all within easy reach of our welcome supper, which is conveniently located near the Newton Abbot Station.

Day 1 - May 26, 2026

Our day begins at 9 a.m. at Newton Abbot Station, where we will gather and board our bus together. Our first stop is the River Dart, where we will open our journey with a ceremony to honour the land and set our intentions.

From there, we will travel into the heart of the breathtaking moors, where Colin Roberts will guide us on a walk to an ancient stone circle that crowns the landscape with mystery and story. While we are at this ancient place, we will Drum-Journey our personal place of power.

In the afternoon, we make our way to a herb farm, where we will collect organically grown herbs for our work ahead.

Our day concludes near Widdon Down, where we will settle into a beautifully refurbished barn that will be our home for the days to come.

Bring your bathing suit; we have our own private indoor swimming pool.

Day 2 - May 27, 2026

After breakfast, we begin our journey crafting the foundations of balms, salves and tinctures. Together, we will explore the properties of the herbs and ingredients that become our medicine.

A lovingly prepared lunch by our chef Amanda Robertson is followed by time to wander the grounds or simply connect to our wonderful setting in Devon.

In the afternoon, we head to the hedgerows with Woodman Colin Roberts, who will share his deep knowledge of the old ways, the plants and the Devon landscapes.

After supper, the evening is yours to enjoy the property and all it has to offer.

Day 3 - May 28, 2026

After breakfast, we dive back into our apothecary, learning about the preserving and medicinal properties of oxymels. Together, we’ll explore why herbs are used the way they are. We will craft a fire cider with herbs and roots long cherished by wise folk for centuries.

A nourishing lunch is followed by free time to rest, wander, or connect to the land.

In the afternoon, our hedgerow walk will lead us to a beautiful curated garden and orchard, where plants and stories intertwine.

After supper, gather in the kitchen for an evening of sharing and discovery as we explore tried-and-true Old Wives’ Tales, before settling into a relaxed night.

Day 4 - May 29, 2026

After breakfast, we bring our apothecary journey to completion. Exploring elixirs, infused oils, and other preparations that build upon the medicines we have already crafted.

Following lunch and a time to reset, we gather to create intention candles infused with herbs, delving into the magical and energetic properties these plants hold.

Our farewell dinner leads into a special fire ceremony, where we prepare a gratitude bundle and receive our medicine person rites. The evening closes with fireside storytelling, weaving together the myths and legends of the land that has held us through our journey.

Day 5 - May 30,2026

On our final day, we board the bus and set out for a mystical hike to one of Devon’s most treasured places, the White Lady Waterfall. Here we walk in beauty and presence, allowing the land to bless us one last time.

From the waterfall, we journey on to a place steeped in myth and folklore for our closing ceremony, gathering all we have experienced into a circle of gratitude and remembrance.

A short ride brings us to Bovey Tracey, where we enjoy a leisurely wander through this storied town before our path gently draws to a close.

We arrive at Exeter St David’s Station carrying with us the medicine, memories, and kinship of our time together.
