Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Sacred EverWylde Tours so unique?
Not only will you be seeing and experiencing the scenery and historical sites of your chosen destination, but there is an added element of connection to the land through guided ceremonies as we immerse ourselves in the learning.
The land wants to be in relationship with us, and we can remember how to cultivate that relationship. It’s all about re-learning the language of the land by using gentle ceremony to achieve this deepening a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We will have an opening ceremony at a sacred site, creating a container to hold all of the other ceremonies and apothecary work in which we will be engaged in throughout the tour.
Our closing ceremony on the last day of the tour will be held at another sacred site along our route. We will close our sacred journey here with a blessed opportunity to add our very own magic to the land.
This tour involves some moderate walking and hiking, including paths through the moors, forests and waterfalls. While you don’t need to be an athlete, you should be comfortable with walking for extended periods and navigating uneven terrain. Bring supportive shoes, a water bottle and be prepared for outdoor conditions.
What level of fitness is required?
Do I need prior experience participating in ceremonies or herb lore?
No, you will be gently guided through the protocols for participating in ceremony and the herbal work, is beginner friendly.
You will find that it is a very simple and organic experience. It immediately feels good. By the second or third ceremony, you will have it down pat. and you will know where to stand and how to hold space for your fellow participants. It will all come back to you like a long-remembered dream, both in ceremony and working with the herbs.
What should I bring?
Devon and Scotland are beautiful, but the weather can be unpredictable, even in spring. Be prepared for rain, wind and cool evenings.
We recommend:
Layers: some long sleeve tops, sweaters and a warm jacket for evenings.
Waterproof Outerwear: a rain jacket is essential, we have some hikes and outdoor activities that will still happen in a light rain.
Sturdy waterproof shoes: hiking shoes, or waterproof hiking shoes for moors, trails and wet ground.
Packing with layers and waterproof gear will help you stay comfortable and fully enjoy every moment.
Don’t forget a water bottle.
Tour operators can not be blamed for the weather.
