Your Guides

Meet the curators and facilitators of your sacred journey.

Denise Stewart

Born in the Scottish Highlands yet raised in a remote village in the pristine wilderness of Canada, an adventurous spirit was ignited. Not content with the mainstream life of her peers, she set off to immerse herself in the varied cultures of Europe and Asia.

This seasoned world traveler, with more life experience than most would expect in an entire lifetime, returned to Canada, where she met her husband and became a mother of three. It was after this, with her children grown, that a different sort of journey began.

Seeking inner peace and reflection, she headed to the jungles of Mexico, the temples of Bali and then back to the Canadian wilderness. After many years of delving into a wide array of physical and spiritual healing techniques, she counts amongst her qualifications: Wise Woman, yoga instructor, Reiki master, massage therapist, plant medicine practitioner, Ancestral and Shamanic healer.

In this adventure, she has been called upon to merge these life experiences with the sacred task of empowering others to create their own connections and to fulfill their own spiritual and physical journeys.

Colin Roberts

Colin Roberts is a Druidic folklorist from Devon, UK.

As a traditional woodman and hedgelayer, he is deeply connected to all things wild. He has a rich knowledge and experience of hedgelore, old practices, ancient dialects and old crafts of Britain.

He follows the wheel of the year and can be found on the overcast lands of the high moors among the standing stones or in the ancient woods.

He enjoys reading tarot and oracle cards with his young family and making moon water when the moon is full.

"I run with the hare, ride with the moon and sit and watch with the owls."

Carmon Frick

Carmon Frick is the creator of Pure Awareness Yoga, and she delights in curating experiences that help guests connect with the wonder and wisdom of the natural world. With over 15 years of study and teaching, Carmon continues to nurture her love of learning, integrating and sharing the wisdom she gathered along the way.

Her classes are informed by the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda, the teachings of Tantra, the grace of Yoga Nidra. She also draws on the energy systems of the chakras, earth- based practices of Shamanism and above all, the greatest teacher of all: Mother Nature.

Guided by her personal motto, “I teach what I most need to learn myself,” Carmon brings authenticity to what she shares. She strives to create meaningful experiences for her students, offering tools to navigate life’s challenges with grace on the ongoing journey of self-knowledge.

Amanda Robertson

Amanda, our chef for the week, was born and raised in London, bringing over 30 years of experience cooking for large groups.

Of Romani descent, she brings a rich cultural heritage to her culinary creations, with a particular flair for vibrant vegetarian dishes.

During our week at the manor, Amanda will be preparing a variety of wise-woman fare, lovingly infused with herbs, thoughtfully crafted to delight both vegetarian and meat-eating guests alike.

DragonDeer

Sacred Drum, DragonDeer, features heavily throughout our experience.

The origins of this shamanic healing tool draw from a blend of teachings from Celtic traditions, Ayahuasca and the central, sacred teachings of the Medicine Wheel, taught on Treaty 6 Land in Canada.

It serves to gently guide us to retrieve the magic and truths we all carry deep within ourselves.
